QuickBooks Online determines a timesheet's work type based on the settings in the employee's profile. This typically happens because the employee's pay type or leave category in their profile is set up or mapped incorrectly. You'll need to update this to ensure standard working hours are logged correctly.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll and select Employees.
  2. Click the employee's name.
  3. Look for the Primary Pay Category and ensure it is set to standard hours rather than leave.
  4. Click Send & finish.
