Question

My clients informed me that they didn’t receive my invoice this week via email. This has never happened previously. I had to send it to all clients via WhatsApp.

Is there anything I need to check to make sure this doesn’t happen again? Several of my clients emailed to say they hadn’t received my invoic.

Factors including incorrect email addresses or recipient's email server issues can prevent emails from reaching the intended recipient. We recommend asking your clients to check their spam or junk folders, as invoice emails sometimes be filtered there.

It’s also worth double-checking the email addresses saved for each affected client in their profiles to ensure they’re correct. Also, clear and re-enter your email address listed in the Company email field under Settings, even if it appears correct. After that, send yourself a test transaction to confirm whether the email is being delivered successfully.

If you still don't receive the email, use a different email address that has a different domain such as Hotmail or Yahoo address.

If the issue persists, you'll want to set up your server or your IT to accept QuickBooks Solopreneur email server hostnames and IP addresses so your clients can receive your emails from QuickBooks.
