Quickbooks 2019 Requires Internet Explorer

Hello,

I've recently run into a problem while installing my QuickBooks 2019 licensing on a fresh Win 11 build. When launching the application it sends an error stating that QuickBooks needs internet explorer enabled to run. Unfortunately on Win 11 it's seemingly impossible to get Internet Explorer to run.

I have tried enabling IE mode in microsoft edge but am still met with the same errors given before. I've also tried to enable IE through the "optional features" settings in microsoft which has been the most recommended work around, but unfortunately neither of those options have worked. I was wondering if anyone in this community has run into anything similar, or if anyone has any other options they suggest trying.

Thanks

Hi, @hunter_tph.

QuickBooks 2019 is no longer supported by Intuit, and updates in your computer's operating system can cause compatibility issues, such as requiring Internet Explorer, which isn't available on Windows 11. Since Intuit doesn't provide updates for discontinued versions, these problems are unlikely to be resolved.

To continue using QuickBooks, you can upgrade to QuickBooks Enterprise, which works with modern operating systems like Windows 11 and offers advanced features for growing businesses.

Another option is switching to QuickBooks Online (using the online migration tool), a cloud-based solution that works on any device with internet access and eliminates system compatibility issues.

Upgrading or moving to QuickBooks Online will ensure smoother and more reliable operations going forward. Check the plans & pricing here.

Install the trial version of Desktop 2020 or 2021. Did you encounter the same problem?
