Question

We converted from Desktop to Quickbooks Online and we have a large amount of transactions listed as Unbilled income, but none of them should be. How to delete them?

When converting your data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online (QBO), transactions often end up categorized as "Unbilled Income" due to discrepancies in how billable transactions are handled between the two systems, Bill.

QuickBooks Online automatically creates an "Unbilled Income" account to track transactions that have been marked as "billable" but not yet invoiced, even if certain transactions in your Desktop version weren't intended to be billable.

To remove these from the Unbilled Income account, I've added the steps for you:

  1. Open each transactions in the Unbilled account (Ex. expenses, time charges, or bills).
  2. Uncheck the Billable box, this will remove their association with a project or customer.

  3. Save the changes.

If these are duplicates, you can open the transaction and delete. I've added this for you:

To learn more on what data that transfers or not, read this for more details: Learn How Terms and Data Transfer from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
