Question

When entering a bill in the app, Billable and Customer Name do not show up in the app, only the online version of QBO.

Welcome to the Community, smudgett!

 

To get the Billable and Customer Name fields to display on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) desktop app when entering a bill, make sure these two options below are turned on from the Account and settings:

 

  • Track expenses and items by customer
  • Make expenses and items billable

 

Here's how:
 

  1. Go to Account and settings.
  2. Select Expenses.
  3. Toggle on both the Track expenses and items by customer and Make expenses and items billable options.


If the fields still don’t appear, try updating your QBO desktop app to the latest version or perform basic troubleshooting by selecting Reset App Data as shown in the image.
