Question

When I select 'clients' as a menu item there was a tab at the top that said 'unbilled charges' or something like that. Does anyone know what happened to that?

I would click on that tab and a list of clients that had uninvoiced charges would appear, making it easy for me to invoice them. That tab is gone - is there another way?

Hello, Rick. I'll provide you with a workaround so you can start adding unbilled charges to your invoices.

The absence of the Unbilled Charges tab at the top portion of your Clients page is due to the updated user interface of QuickBooks Online. These changes have been implemented to provide users with an enhanced and streamlined experience. On the other hand, you can access the necessary features via the Sales menu.

Here are the guideline to follow:

1. On your left pane, navigate to Sales and select All sales.

2. Click on Unbilled income or filter the Type field to Unbilled Income to view the unbilled charges.

3. To add them to your invoice, toggle on the Create Invoice option on the left side.

Should you require further assistance, you may click the Reply button.

I didn't have either of those menu options on my left hand menu. I did have an option called 'my apps' under which 'sales and get paid'. From there click on 'sales transactions' then under filter -> type select 'unbilled income'.

That is how I was able to find them. The solution above did not work since the menu was also changed recently...
