Thank you for posting here in the Community. When an email is sent to your clients from your QBO company, the email goes out from our server. If the email is bouncing, the recipient's email service sends a failure or delivery notification to your email service. If the delivery failure error is sent to us by your email service provider, a notification is added to the transaction stating the email delivery failed. Based off of your description of what's happening, it sounds like the recipient's email service is sending you the failure even though they're receiving the emails. You can find this info at the following link: How to view list of bounced emails with delivery errors. Just out of curiosity, the emails that are bouncing back to you, are they all coming from the same email provider? (Gmail, hotmail, aol, etc) or are they all different providers.
This information will be able to help me come up with the best solution to your problem. Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.
We can check the list of bounced data by going to the Tasks section. You can do that by clicking Dashboard and then selecting Get things done. Click the bounced data that you want to view on the Tasks drop-down.
Until yesterday, I have been sending invoices to customers via Quickbooks with no problem. Last night I sent 2 invoices and both kicked back as undeliverable. I sent an email to one of the customers directly from my email and not through Quickbooks and he received it. This helped me determine that it is somehow a Quickbooks interface and not a problem with our emails. What is the fix? And why is this happening all of the sudden? I’ve done nothing different with my computer or Quickbooks. As a temporary solution I went to my “sent” mail and forwarded them their invoices. Please help.
I’ve been reading some of the previous comments and replies and I am on a Desktop version of QBks not online if that makes a difference. I receive bounce back emails through Outlook so I know immediately that my email did not go to the customer. I know the issue is with QBks, just wondering why it’s happened suddenly when all was working the day before and I’ve made no changes to my computer or the QBks software.
Reset your Send Forms email preferences to reconfirm or re-save the settings, as this is often triggered by a Windows or QuickBooks update. Alternatively, the recipient's server may be blocking automated Intuit emails as spam.
Here’s how:
Click Edit from the top menu.
Choose Preferences.
Select Send Forms.
Under the My Preferences tab, select the email account you're using.
Click Edit.
Mark the SSL box, or select Default.
In the Server Name field, make sure the server name matches your email provider's settings.
Hit OK, then OK.
Also, ensure the customer’s email address is correct. There should be no extra characters, spaces, or line breaks. Multiple addresses should be semicolon-separated, not comma-separated.
