Hi there, @kamehamehaukulel. Thanks for sharing your concern on the QuickBooks Community page.
To further dig into the issue, can you help me verify where the incorrect name was entered? This way, I can provide you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps to help address the issue.
Any additional info would be much appreciated. Please add your details to this thread so I can get back to you. Have a good one.
I know a possible reason why your 1099-NEC doesn't match the actual entered name, kamehame.
Since we're limited to the public forum, accessing your account and seeing the filed 1099-NEC won't be possible. However, you can see the 1099s you've filed through QuickBooks within the Taxes menu.
Here's how:
Go to the Taxes menu located at the left navigation panel.
Click 1099 filings.
Under the 1099 filings tab, you may see the status of your filed 1099-NEC.
You may also click the View Summary option to see more details.
The name entered for the company will be reflected on the 1099 form, which may cause a mismatch with the expected name. Ensure to enter the company name to avoid any confusion.
I'll be more than happy to assist you if you have further inquiries regarding 1099-NEC. Just let me know by entering your concerns in the comment section.
