I'd like to inform you with the version of your MAC OS v14.2.1 is compatible with QuickBooks MAC v18.0.14R15.

As I know you can run QB Desktop 2019 on Sonoma. But keep in mind, every time Apple release a patch to Sonoma, you may find a new "bug" in your QB. When it happens, consider upgrading your QB to a newer version.

QuickBooks Mac v18.0.14R15 is the internal version name for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019. Intuit officially discontinued support for this version in May 2022. Because of this, no official updates were released to ensure it works with macOS Sonoma, which came out in late 2023.

 

As a result, it’s unclear if QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2019 will work correctly on macOS Sonoma 14.4. While it might function in some ways, there’s a risk of compatibility issues due to changes in the new macOS and outdated system support.

 

We recommend upgrading to QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2024, as this newer version is designed to work with recent macOS updates and provides improved features and security updates. Upgrading ensures a smoother experience and reduces the risk of issues with your accounting software.
