Affirm is auto-enrolled on my account
When we initially received the email about Affirm in February, I researched the company and was very disappointed in the bad reviews that it got and the terrible interest rates that they provide. I'm quite disappointed that Quickbooks auto-enrolls it's customers in things like this. At that time, I followed the steps to decline enrollment in Affirm, because it is NOT a good product to provide to my customers.
Yet, today I got another email and find out that I was still automatically enrolled me in Affirm, even after I followed the opt-out procedure detailed in the first notice. This is VERY disappointing. Quickbooks DOES NOT have my permission to sign me up for things like Affirm without my approval.
I am disappointed in general that Quickbooks is partnering with Affirm. Just a quick online search finds an overwhelming number of negative reviews and Better Business Bureau complaints. And the info that Quickbooks provides about Affirm neglects to mention that they charge up to 36%, which is usury in multiple states, and probably the worst interest rate that my customers could get anywhere.
Giving my customers the option to do business with a poorly run company with usurious rates, isn't a benefit to my customers. In fact, it would reflect poorly on my company to give them this option. Please NEVER automatically sign me up for something like this in the future. If this is what Quickbooks considers a good business decision, I do not want you making any business decisions for my company.
