can't record partial payments to vendors

I tested this and I successfully applied a partial amount when paying bills in my QuickBooks Online account. Aside from the amount automatically resetting, is there an error message? 

I recommend logging in and out of your account. Then, open the bill and apply a partial payment once again. Have you also tried logging in to QuickBooks Online on a different browser? QBO works well with Google Chrome, Mozilla, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.
