I've been receiving emails from Security Metrics Compliance stream that my account is not being PCI compliance. What do you do with it?

PCI compliance ensures payment security across your entire local network, encompassing all applications and systems, Will.

The PCI Security Standards Council sets standards designed to protect the integrity of sensitive payment card information. If you're a merchant accepting card payments, being compliant is required. Otherwise, you can ignore the email.

I am getting the emails as well.  Followed the links only to discover that the PCI certification that I am expected to complete is going to now cost me a minimum of $85 annually.  I had no advance notification of this change from QB credit card processing service.  This fee has been a part of the merchant services monthly fees in the past.  Is this another smackdown from QB on the desktop users?

@AL-COMM   QB has been trying to anyone and everyone to sign up with Security Metrics for a couple years now.  The 2 companies are totally in cahoots together.  If you can, do the PCI compliance yourself, to save the money.  It CAN be a little frustrating and daunting at first, but you can totally do it yourself.  We do, but we also don't use QB for ANY credit card transactions.  We don't trust them with our money, and neither should you.

IF anyone from QB tries to tell you that you HAVE to sign up with Security Metrics, they are lying.  You CAN do it yourself.  It is TOTALLY legal, and QB can't stop you.

Good luck.
