I accidentally made 2 accounts that are identical but they have different months/years data in them.  How can I combine them into one account? I have QB 2021

Hi there, @Madrialla1. You can easily combine two accounts into one by ensuring the account details in one are an exact match to the other.

First, take note of the name and account type of the account you want to keep. Then, in the Lists menu in your Chart of Accounts, highlight the account you wish to merge, click the Account button dropdown, and choose Edit Account. Enter the exact same name and account type as the one you want to keep, since both fields must match for the merge to work.

Once you’ve made these changes, all the data will be combined into a single account.

I also wanted to share this handy article in case you need to tidy up your Chart of Accounts again in the future: Add, edit, or delete accounts in QuickBooks Desktop.

You have 2 options:

1. Use a migration tool.

2. Purchase a 3rd party service to merge those files. You can also consider purchase a 3rd party service to convert data to one QBO account directly. Contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA via email directly for both options.
