Question

PCI Compliance

I am a new user of QBO.  I recently started working with SecurityMetrics to ensure I am PCI compliant.  According to their training, one of the things I need in place (we all need in place) is a written agreement with any third-party service provider (TPSP).

Is QuickBooks considered a third-party, or are they a second-party?  If a third-party, how do I go about getting a written agreement from them?  My efforts to contact QuickBooks via any online available methods put me in an endless loop that doesn't get me anywhere.  I'm calling Sales in the morning, which seems to be the only available phone number.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with QuickBooks via email?

If QuickBooks is the only platform thru which I conduct any financial transactions, what are the next steps I should take?

Any guidance is thoroughly appreciated!

Cheers!

Hi there.

I understand that being stuck in an endless loop while trying to reach support online takes a lot of your time and effort.

Yes, QuickBooks is considered a third-party service provider (TPSP) as Intuit has partnered with SecurityMetrics to streamline the PCI compliance process for our users.

You can obtain a written agreement with your third-party provider once you sign up and agree to their terms and regulations, including compliance with security standards.

For specific questions about your compliance or assessment details, I recommend contacting SecurityMetrics Support directly, they can provide accurate information and guidance tailored to your needs.

While the choice of third-party provider is yours, it's best to consult SecurityMetrics about the list of parties they partner with for payment processing.

If you plan to use QuickBooks Payments as your third-party platform, your next step after achieving compliance is to sign up with us and confirm the written agreement. Here's the link to sign-up: Apply for Payments.

If you need further assistance with signing up, processes, or inquiries about QuickBooks Payments, I recommend contacting our Payments Support team.
