Remove View and Pay "link" from printed invoice?

I want to be nice, but whoever thought that is a good idea is not very smart. So now not only do I have to include directions to find the nondescript link to the printable invoice when I send notice via e-mail, I have to include a note on invoices I print and mail explaining that I know you can’t click a “link” on a piece of paper and QuickBooks doesn’t let me remove it.

This used to be possible, but now looks like it cannot be. Is it just me?

To remove the View and pay link from your invoices, you just need to turn off online payments in your Account and settings. Here is how to do it:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Go to the Sales tab and click Invoice payments.
  3. Uncheck the payment options you want to disable, then click Save.

 

Once you turn off online payments, the View and pay link will disappear from your future invoices. If you ever want to bring it back, just follow these same steps and check the boxes to turn online payments back on.
