I would like to change the title "personal / careres leave to "sick, personal and carers leave" without changing the leave employees have accrued.

You can edit the name of the Pay Category from the Payroll Settings and this will not affect the current accruals. To do this:

-Select Employees and navigate to Payroll Settings

-Click on Pay Categories in the Pay Run Settings 

-Locate Personal/Carer's Leave and edit the Name 

-Save 

The category name will be updated throughout the system.
