The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requires your payroll software’s unique identifier to be formally linked to your business’s ABN via the ATO’s Access Manager. If this link is missing or incorrect, it will prevent you from authorising lodgements. To assist with this, we recommend referring to this helpful guide: Connect QuickBooks Online with the ATO to enable direct BAS lodgement.
 

If you’ve confirmed that your ATO linking is correct but are still unable to authorise the lodgement, we suggest reaching out to our Payroll Support Team for further assistance. They have the tools to securely access your account and will be able to investigate the failed lodgement in detail.

  1. Navigate to the Help (?) icon within QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select the Search tab, then click the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter your concern in the field provided.
