I am new to Quickbooks. I have created my pay runs but now I need to record the payment. How do I do this please?

Good job in creating your Pay Run, Yarravic.

 

The next step that you need to do is to finalise them. This makes the payroll data available in reports and allows payslips for the pay run able to be seen by employees.

 

To finalise a pay run:

  1. Open the pay run you want to finalise.
  2. Under the Actions tab, click Finalise Pay Run button.
  3. Enter the Date Paid.
  4. Select your Publish Pay Slips and Notifications preferences.
  5. Select Finalise

The pay run will be locked once it's finalise.
