Is it possible to go back to the old style of QuickBooks? I can’t use the new one and don’t like it. Reminders doesn’t work and I can’t find the invoice numbers prefer old version.

QuickBooks Online is rolling out a new layout to offer improved features, enhanced functionality, and a streamlined experience. We understand this transition can be challenging, and we’re here to help.

 

If you prefer the previous layout, you can switch back by clicking the Gear icon and selecting the Switch option at the bottom of the menu.

 

Regarding reminders not working and difficulties in locating invoice numbers, I’ll guide you through resolving these in the new layout.

 

For Reminders, let's ensure invoice reminders are set up correctly. Follow these steps:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Sales tab.
  3. In the Reminders section, click Edit.
  4. Turn on Automatic invoice reminders.
  5. Select the dropdown for Reminder 1 and toggle the switch to turn it on.
  6. Adjust the settings under Reminder 1.
  7. Tap Save, then Done to finalize your changes.

To locate invoice numbers in the new layout, here's how:

 

  1. Click the Sales & Get Paid menu.
  2. Select Invoices from the list.
  3. Within the Invoices page, locate the Gear icon above the invoice list.
  4. Click the icon and ensure the Invoice Number box is checked.

 

Alternatively, you can use the search bar in QuickBooks Online to quickly locate invoice numbers or other items without having to navigate through menus.

I used to love this app and now I’m starting to hate it. I’m having numerous issues with the new update. Firstly it doesn't always show my invoices even when changing all the toggle settings, usually the most recent ones that are unpaid don’t come up but it says the amount at the top for “unpaid invoices” so I’m not sure how to find them. If I wait an hour they come back up.. I’m not sure what is going on but it’s very frustrating when I’ve got to get them sent out fast/ looked at and edited. 

I’m not sure why the “minus” feature has been removed on amount due options? I regularly have to use this and now each time I need it I have to go into my keyboard on another app, copy and then paste it which is most inconvenient. 

My company banking year isn’t Jan-jan so I used to use the “current year” to see my totals which has now gone when looking at invoices. The year to date isn’t for my business calendar year shown.  Again can this be put back? 

It just generally seems to me that the entire app runs A LOT slower now and lots of things “sometimes” come up and a lot of the time don’t show up (certain quick links, invoices, receipt options and now error pages. It can be very annoying and time wasting. I use this app to help make financials easier but since it’s been updated, it’s a guess if it will do what I need half the time. I’m not sure what’s going on but it does need to be sorted. Thanks

Dont fix something if its not broken, now it is broken

If I have to use the new interface I'm leaving QB, as I don't have the time or inclination to learn this all over again and beta test it for free
