Question

Has anyone seen duplicate Time entries occur for their employees?

1 employee has duplicate timesheet entries occur and we can't figure out how it happens. It's very random, no set time or customer. She also had a duplicate Time off request occur. Same day, same time entered. No other employee has this problem

Hi there, Jalix. It's quite unusual since this issue is affecting only one person. As a result, we can't pinpoint the exact cause of the problem.

Most likely, this issue is related to her device, connectivity, or her usage habits. If her internet connection (either cellular or Wi-Fi) is slow, she might press Submit, see no immediate reaction, and tap it again, which leads the app to queue both commands. Once the connection stabilizes, it pushes both entries to the server. You can ask her to wait at least 5–10 seconds if the app "hangs" before tapping again.

To deal with the duplicate time entry, you can delete the duplicate one by going to the Time entries tab in QuickBooks Online and clicking the dropdown > Delete. Alternatively, in QuickBooks Time, click the Trash bin icon in the Time Entries tab.
