Hello there, Marilyn. Allow me to provide a resolution to the employee login concern in QuickBooks Time.

QuickBooks Time doesn't have a built-in feature to prevent employees from clocking in more than a specific number of minutes before their scheduled shift. The time entry restrictions are focused on location-based geofencing, mobile access controls, and required fields; they don't include a time-based early clock-in prevention mechanism.

However, we can create a shift to ensure employees can only clock in within a specific window of their scheduled shift.

Here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Time, navigate to the Schedule view.
  2. Click inside a cell on the schedule.
  3. From the Actions menu, select the Add Shift.
  4. In the shift editor window, enter optional details, All Day or  Repeat settings, including frequency and end date.
  5. Choose the desired frequency and end date, then click the Publish button once done.

However, if your employee is allowed to clock in after the scheduled time, I recommend manually adjusting their time cards to ensure accuracy.

Additionally, if you want to assign team members to an existing shift, follow these steps. Manage shifts for QuickBooks Time web.

I'll be here if you need more assistance regarding this matter, Marilyn.
