Quickbooks Online - Re-activate Time Track Only User

Hello,

I am trying to re-activate a Time Track Only user in QuickBooks Online, and he can't seem to log in or access QBO after reactivation.  He's gone to log in, and QBO provides the error message "No account is associated with this user."

When researching what is going on, the guidance I am finding indicates that we should resend the invitation (since he's not getting one) by doing these steps:
1. Go to Manage Users
2. Find the user
3. Click on the drop down menu at the right side of the user
4. Click on Resend Invite

When I do this, I don't have a resend invite option. Only Delete and Edit. I am a Company Admin in the account.

How can we get this user back into QuickBooks Online so he can track his time?

Welcome to the Community, jenny 3. I appreciate your detailed information.

If you're not seeing an option to resend a user's invitation, and their status shows as Active, it means the user has already accepted your invitation to join the company and has already created login credentials. They can sign in on their QuickBooks login screen.

In the event they've forgot their account credentials, Intuit can send a code so they can sign in. To get started, they'll need access to the phone number or email address associated with their account. Next, they can go to their sign in help page, select Password, then Forgot password. There will also be an option to Text a code to [your number].

If they don't have them, they can use our account recovery form to send a high-quality photo or scanned copy of one of the following:

  • State ID
  • Passport
  • Driver’s license
  • Notarized document

Within one business day, they'll receive an email from Intuit with their next steps. Once their account's been confirmed, they'll receive a link to reset their password.

I've also included a couple detailed resources about re-inviting users and recovering accounts which may come in handy moving forward:

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Thursday!
