Question

Download PDF isn't available for the IAS report, but it is for BAS. Is this expected, or a bug? Based in PH, managing a QBO account for a Sydney-based client.

When I open the IAS report, there's no Download PDF button/option showing at all, only Export to Excel. The BAS report shows both Download PDF and Export to Excel. I've tried refreshing and switching browsers with the same result. Just want to confirm if this is a known limitation for IAS reports or something I should raise as a bug.

If your Instalment Activity Statement (IAS) report covers a wide date range or includes too many transactions, it may have reached the cell limit for exporting to PDF in QuickBooks. As a result, the program only lets you download it as an Excel file. It's by design, not a bug.

To sort this out, you might consider changing to a shorter date range or applying filters to reduce the number of transactions, making the report smaller. However, if you need the entire IAS report, export it to Excel first and then use Excel's built-in options to download or save it as a PDF.
