The Trial Balance report summarizes the debit and credit balances of each account on your chart of accounts during a period of time. On the other hand, General Ledger shows the beginning balance, transactions, and total for each account.

When we pull up these reports, we need to make sure that we selected the correct Report period and Accounting method, and it should be the same for both reports. These are the most possible reason why the reports aren't showing the same figures.
