I have inactive previous accounts and also balances but still showing the balancing figures in balance sheet (under - deleted) why?

Hi there, Roman. When you inactivate an account with a balance, QuickBooks will automatically zero that balance. However, you can still view this information, particularly the Balance Sheet Detail report.

This is because QuickBooks creates an offsetting transaction, transferring that balance to another account. While it won't appear under active accounts, it will still reflect in the detailed reports as part of QuickBooks way of maintaining accurate financial history and ensuring the integrity of your accounting records.

If you’re looking at the Balance Sheet Summary or the Balance Sheet report, it would show no value or indicate that the account is zero. However, if you click into those figures, the Transaction Report will show the details of the offsetting journal entries.
