To match the reports, set the Ageing method to Report date. Ensure the Trial Balance and Ageing Detail reports' period is set to All dates, and change the Accounting method on the Trial Balance report to Accrual. This helps both reports follow the same financial rules and keeps your data aligned.

To change the Ageing method in your Ageing Detail report, here’s how:

  1. Go to Reports and open Standard reports.
  2. In the search field, enter Accounts receivable ageing detail report, then navigate to the Customise button.
  3. In the Ageing section, set the Ageing method to Report date.
  4. Click Apply changes once done.

Selecting Report date ensures the Ageing Report matches the timeline of the Trial Balance report.

To change the Accounting method in your Trial Balance report, here’s how:

  1. Go to Reports and open Standard reports.
  2. In the search field, enter Trial Balance report.
  3. Select Accrual in the Accounting Method section.
