How to generate debtor/creditor ledger for a range of period?

Most of the accounting software can generate debtor or creditor ledger which shows all transactions (credit and debit) within a selected period, but it appears that Quickbook is not able to perform this.In addition, I've tried to generate one using customer/supplier balance detail to generate something which may barely pass as a debtor/creditor ledger. However, under this option, it is not possible to generate a report for this-year-to-date (selected date).Anyone can advise a way to solve this?

Hi, I just wanted to know why is retained earnings is reflecting only in balance sheet and why not in Trial balance .i can see the retained earnings balan diff in my TB?

Can you filter vat detail report by memo/description. If you export to excel it does not split the invoice (Bill) as you entered it in order to filter it in excel.

Need this to check my GP% and vat returns. QB 2001 carried this out effortlessly and find it incredulous that there is no filter option on the vat detail report in QBO for the memo/desc column. Is There any fix for this?.
