Is there a way to compare 3 years of profit and loss or 3 years of balance sheet next to each other in report view?

While the option to combine reports within QuickBooks Online is unavailable, you'll want to customize and then export them to Excel and collate it from there so you can clearly compare them. 

Here's how to pull up the report and export it:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Click Reports.
3. Enter Profit and Loss in the search field.
4. Customize the report period and click Run reports to refresh the display. 
5. At the upper-right, click the export icon and select Export to Excel.
