Why when generating a P&L report, why does under Cost of Sales , my sales receipts are showing, does anyone know why, should they not be in sales of produce income?

Your sales receipt is under the Sales of Product Income and not on the Cost of Sale section of your P&L report because the income account associated with the item you've selected when creating it is the Cost of Sale.

To confirm the income account linked to the product/service item, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Sales menu and then All sales.
2. Locate and click Edit on the sales receipt. Then, check the attached Product/Service item.
3. Go to the Gear icon and select Product and services.
4. Locate the item and click Edit under the Action column.
5. Scroll down to the Income account section. Its assigned income account would be its default account when displayed in the P&L report.
6. (Optional) If you want to transfer its data to the Sales of Product Income section of your P&L report, kindly enter the Sales of Product Income account in the Income account field.
7. After that, tick the Checkbox icon beside Also update this account in historical transactions to move the previously created sales receipt into the Sales of Product Income.
8. Once done, hit Save and close.
