I know how important it is to understand why your QuickBooks Online Dashboard and Balance Sheet report have different amounts, kathylin-linksta. I'm here to share some insights.

There are possible reasons why your dashboard and Balance Sheet report have different figures, and I've listed them below:

  • The date ranges don't match.
  • The accounting bases don't match.

To resolve this, please make sure they have the same dates and accounting basis.

Also, the balances that'll show on your dashboard are the actual currency of your accounts. For example, if your account is in CAD, it'll also reflect the amount on the dashboard. However, the report will show the balance using the home currency exchange rate. It's the reason why it's showing different amounts.

Additionally, I've added an article that you can use to personalize financial reports, like changing the filters and columns in QuickBooks. This helps you view the details that matter most to your business: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance running and personalizing reports in QuickBooks, kathylin-linksta. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
