Hi there,

Welcome back to the Community. It's always good checking to make sure everything is correct on your account and I'll be happy to give you a hand with that.

The opening balance tells QuickBooks when you want to start tracking transactions in an account. It's also an important reference for reconciliations. The opening balance in QuickBooks needs to match the balance of your real-life bank account for whatever day you pick.

Since there's an error on the beginning balance you won't need to worry because I'll show you how to correct it. If you're new to receonciling, check out this helpful guide: Start with our reconcile guide

To fix the opening balance, please reference this helpful article from our Community: Fix opening balance issues in QuickBooks Online. In case you get stuck, don't hesitate to reach out. I'll be on standby.

My register doesn't show an opening balance entry or opening equity.  I'm only seeing my entries. My operating line is not connected to my bank. When I created my chart of a count for my credit line I followed QB instructions of not entering a beginning balance. So hence my confusion, how can I input this balance

I know how important it is to enter your account's beginning balance. I want to make sure we're on the same page. What do you mean when you say the account is only showing your entries? If you're attempting to input a beginning balance, please follow the steps in this article: Enter opening balances for accounts in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be here if you have any other questions.
