I can see how being able to view the associated SKU on reports would make your inventory tracking easier. QuickBooks Online allows you to customize the columns of your reports so that you can view all of the relevant information you need. I'll walk you through how to add a SKU column to your inventory reports.
You'll want to use the Sales by Product/Service Detail report since this one allows you to customize the columns. To customize this report to show SKUs:
From the Dashboard, select Reports.
Run the Sales by Product/Service Detail report.
From here, click on the Customize button.
Under the Rows/Columns section click Change Columns.
Tick the box for the SKU column.
Your report will now show the SKU associated with each inventory item. You can learn more about customizing your reports in QuickBooks Online here.
