Assessing your overall sales from one year, month, or week to the next is a great way to stay in-tune with your business success. QuickBooks Online has a few really helpful reports you can use to compare your sales between various timeframes. I'd be happy to explain how to find the reports and filter them for each reporting period you'd like to investigate.
I recommend reviewing your Profit and Loss report by clicking the Reports tab on the left navigation menu. This report will show your income, expenses, and net income for the reporting period selected.
You can also look through the available sales reports, such as your Sales by Product/Service Detail report. You can use the search bar or scroll down the the "Sales and Customers" section of the reports list.
To customize the date-range on the report, click the Reporting period drop-down menu. You can select custom dates, or choose from a variety of options such as This Week, or This Year. Run the report to see an overview of your sales. Then, do the same for the time period you're comparing it to.
That's all there is to it. I hope this helps you get back on track.
Have a great day!
