QuickBooks Online stocks you with a comprehensive and easy-to-navigate Chart of Accounts for you to organize your books with. I know how important it is to stay in-tune with your business finances. I'll explain what you can export from QuickBooks Online.
You can save a PDF copy, or print your Chart of Accounts, by clicking the small printer icon above the CoA. To find the CoA, click the Accounting tab on the left navigation menu.
You can export your General Ledger by clicking the Gear icon > Export. At this time, the option to export the entire CoA isn't available. I know how handy that would be, so I'd be happy to pass on your feedback about this to our product development team for review.
If you'd like to submit this feedback as well, click the Gear icon > Feedback. We're always looking for new ways to improve the product to make running your business even easier.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please reach out to our tech support team.
Following are the steps to export Chart of Account:
In the "Chart of Account" screen, select "Run Report" button.
On the top right corner of the account list, you will see 4 icons: email, print, export and setting. Select the export icon to export to an excel or PDF document.
I can see that being able to export the chart of accounts to other formats than Excel would be a feature that you'd like to see available in QuickBooks Online. I recommend you leave feedback in the system for the developers by clicking on the Gear Icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are taken into consideration when designing new features for future updates of QuickBooks Online.
