How do I get product and services to allow sub accounts?

It's important you're able to add product and services that are associated with certain sub-accounts. 

QuickBooks makes it easy to associate a sub-account when creating a product or service. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Sales, then Products and Services.
2. Select New or Add a product or service. Then select Inventory.
3. Add a name, SKU, or category for what you're tracking. Tip: Categories let you group your products and services together so they’re easier to find.

While you're adding the product/service details, you have the option to select which account to use. If you don't see the sub-account on the drop-down list, you can click Add-new. From here you should a screen similar to the one below:
