QuickBooks offers a variety of reports which show you a snapshot of how your business is doing. I'd be happy to give you a hand with showing you how to run reports which show the info you're looking for.
At this time, you can run customer statements and not supplier statement. I suggest check out this article to learn more about: Creating and viewing customer statements.Based on what you've described, I recommend running a checking the available reports by clicking Reports from the left menu > scroll down to Expenses and suppliers.
