We can connect your credit card account to QuickBooks Online to download your banking statement, Graeme.

However, we won't be able to add these transactions directly to your VAT return.

Instead, you'll need to enter these transactions manually and make sure you correctly apply the taxes.

  1. Click the Create menu (+) at the top and select the transaction type.
  2. Enter the details and make sure taxes are applied.
  3. Click Save and close.

The amounts in your VAT return come from the transactions you've manually entered.

Meanwhile, you can match the manually entered transactions to your downloaded ones. Feel free to browse this article to know more about matching bank transactions: Add or Match Downloaded Bank Transactions.

I'll be right here if you have more questions about this.
