Let's investigate what's causing the expense categories to change to uncategorized transactions in Bank Feeds, melissa149.
We can access the Audit Log report to check if those bank transactions were updated to uncategorized entries in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This report helps you keep track of added, deleted, and modified transactions, as well as user entries. This allows you to see the history of changes made to individual transactions or a range of multiple transactions. Then, we can customize it by using the Filter tool to narrow down the data. Here's how:
Go to the Gear icon.
Select Audit Log.
Click the Filter drop-down menu.
Set the date range.
Press Apply.
For more information about using the search tools in QBO, you can check out these articles:
If there are no changes applied, we can log in to your account using an incognito browser. Private browser prevents saving cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when running frequently visited websites. Here are the useful shortcut keys you can use to access one:
Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome
Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
Command + Shift + N for Safari
If it works, then your main browser may have accumulated too much historical data, which can impact processes and cause this kind of behavior. To ensure this doesn't happen again, I recommend that you clear its cache. Otherwise, you can switch to another browser if the same thing happens.
