How do I disable Modern View and stay in Classic View?
As of May 2026, QuickBooks Online finished moving all reports over to Modern View, and Classic is no longer available. If you had saved or customized reports, they carried over automatically, so nothing was lost on your end.
We know a lot of you got used to Classic view over the years, and this change means there's no toggle back to it. Here's the upside: Modern View runs on a newer foundation built to handle bigger data sets, add features faster, and surface insights like dashboard KPIs right where you're working.
You'll still find the tools you're used to in Modern View, including:
And you get a few things classic view didn't have, like adding almost any attribute as a column, grouping and pivoting data for deeper analysis, built-in charts alongside your numbers, and exporting to Excel with live formulas intact for calculated rows and columns.
