I need to ask if anyone knows of a report in Quickbooks Online vesion, that will compare 2025 to 2026 YTD for sales(a detail report), specifically for one customer.  The report that Quickbook has listed  does not waht I need.

Thank you in advance, much appreciated.

You can run a Profit and Loss by Customer report to compare a customer's prior-year sales with their current year-to-date total. Keep in mind that this is only available in QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus, and Advanced.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports and search for Profit and Loss by Customer.
  2. Set the Report period to This year.
  3. In the Compare to, select Previous year.
  4. Click Customize, then select Customer in the Filter by menu.
  5. In the Value dropdown, choose the customer you want to review.
  6. Tap Apply changes.
  7. After that, click any amount listed under an income account to view its detailed transactions.

If you're on a different plan, you can instead run a Sales by Customer Detail for both this year and last. Save them as PDFs so you can easily review both reports outside QuickBooks Online.
