How can I make it so that I can write larger descriptions in my service sections of my invoices?

I have multiple friends who use quickbooks and they can write a huge description in their product and services on invoices. I on the other hand am limited and can only write small descriptions and have to add a bunch of service lines on my invoices. Why cant I write larger descriptions?

Thanks for letting us know about this issue, @noursecooper-gma. I understand how urgent this is for you. Let me help get through it.

Yes, QuickBooks has limited numbers of letters in the description area and we only have three option to change the letters font size. If you want to adjust the letter to a larger size, we'll need to customize the Invoice template.
 

Here's how:
 

  1. Go to the Gear Icon and choose Custom From Styles.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow under New Style, and select Invoice.
  3. Select Design page
  4. Click the Select a different font link.
  5. Choose the font size you want.
  6. Then select done to save.

The letter of my quickbooks has gotten very small and we cannot read it . How can we change that?

Let's enhance readability while you are working in QuickBooks Online, Melody.

 

QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn’t include a built-in feature to adjust font sizes or styles across the platform. However, we can use your browser's zoom feature to resize the content displayed on your screen. Here’s how you can do it, depending on your device:

 

  • For Windows: Press Ctrl + to zoom in and Ctrl - to zoom out.
  • For Mac: Press Command +  to zoom in and Command - to zoom out.

 

You can also use the scroll wheel on your mouse while pressing Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) to adjust the zoom more easily. Alternatively, go to your browser settings and look for the Zoom option to make the adjustments manually.
