Good morning, rickybrake.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out for support here in the Community. I'm here to provide some info about exporting invoices to Excel in QuickBooks Online.

This can be done in a few quick steps. Here's how:

1. Hover over the Sales tab in the left navigation menu, and click All Sales.

2. Change the type to Invoices, and enter any specific dates and customer(s) if necessary.

3. Then choose the icon with an arrow pointing up, above the action column to export the list to Excel.

You can also export the Invoice List report by:

1. Going to the Reports tab.

2. Enter the Invoice list in the search field and select it.

3. Make any necessary customizations and choose Run report.

4. On the report page, click the Export button, then select Export to Excel.

That will do it! The following article provides additional info about exporting reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online. Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other questions.

Thanks so much for this excellent reply — I had followed the process exactly as you say , for years , then the up arrow options disappeared , replaced by an import option  - After some sweating , and a phone call to intuit , thankfully , I realized I needed to go back to the accountant view .. And , all is good again .. Thanks !

QBO keeps reshuffling menus, but the invoice export is still there under Reports. Try the Invoices and Received Payments report and export that to Excel. If you need the raw invoice data and don’t want to rely on UI changes, I’ve seen teams pull it through an external connector like Skyvia or Airbyte so the data lands in a sheet on a schedule instead of hunting for the export button every time. You can find more information about this connection here.
