I can understand how a layout change throws off your whole routine. Good news: your customers and vendors are still there, just in a different spot after QuickBooks Online's move to its new Intuit Platform menu.

Find your customers

Sales and Customers are pinned to your menu by default when you first open QuickBooks Online, so they should already show up near the top under All apps. If you don't see them:

  1. Go to All apps.
  2. Select Customize.
  3. Check the apps you want pinned, including Customers.
  4. Select Save.

Find your vendors

  1. Go to All apps.
  2. Select Expenses & Bills.
  3. Select Vendors.

Note: You can bookmark this page for next time: hover over the page name in All apps and select the bookmark icon.

Good morning, @christine94.

Thanks for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. I hope your day is going great so far.

Checking my test account, the Customer and Vendor menus are still there. You'll need to go to the Sales tab and then select Customers to access the Customer menu. For Vendors, you'll need to go to the Expense tab and then choose Vendors. You can see my screenshots below as a reference.

If you'd like these options to be at the top of your menu, tap on the Favorites icon.

That should do the trick. If you're still having issues seeing the options, I recommend trying some basic browser troubleshooting. Such as clearing the cache from your browser. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. Over time these files can become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like missing menu items.

To see the steps to clear the cache for all supported browsers, check out the help guide I'm including below.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. I'm always happy to lend a hand. Take care!

Tori B you must still be on the old version. Out of 3 of us that use Quickbooks in our office, 2 of us logged in this morning and the view has changed. My colleague was out of the office yesterday and she still has the old version today.

I managed to add a new employee this morning but was unable to add his Direct Deposit because that screen goes no further than choosing check or direct deposit. I am due to run payroll tomorrow, but as of right now I can't find Run Payroll anywhere. Anybody have any suggestions??

Thanks for joining this thread and providing those details, Kerry-IFM.

Due to the urgency of this situation with your payroll, I recommend reaching out to a member of the QuickBooks Online Support Team. Agents have specialized tools, like the ability to share your screen, to walk you through the new layout and get to what what you need as quickly as possible. Here's how to get in touch with the team:

1. Click the Help (?) button.
2. Select either tab to get started:
  - Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
  - Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    a. Start a chat with a support expert.
    b. Get a callback from the next available expert.

The following article provides these steps if you ever need them again in the future: QuickBooks Online Support

Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other questions. I'll be here to help in any way that I can.
