We have moved reports in QuickBooks Online over to the new modern view experience, so classic view is no longer available. While it is a big change, modern view is packed with enhanced customization tools and interactive features. Here is how you can make sure your reports are structured exactly how you like them.
How to save your preferred report settings
Whether you are just getting started or refining your setup, you can save your preferred date range and filters so you never have to re-enter them.
- Go to Reports and open the report you want to customize.
- Pick your preferred date range, accounting method, and any filters you need.
- Select Save customization.
- Give your report a name and hit Save.
Your saved report will live under the Custom reports tab. This makes it easy to open your reports with your settings ready to go, instead of setting them up from scratch every time.
How to adjust columns and layout
Modern view puts all your column and filter controls right on the screen where you need them.
- Select Columns to add, remove, or reorder the data fields that show up in your report.
- Use the filter, date range, and accounting method menus directly in the report header.
- Select Run report after you make your changes, and then save your customization to keep those edits for next time.
How to share your feedback
If you have ideas on how the report navigation or view behavior could work better for you, please share them with the QuickBooks development team.
- Go to Settings, then select Feedback.
- Type in your suggestion and select Next to send it off.
