QuickBooks allows you to create an account in the chart of accounts to manage your transactions efficiently. Upon reading your post, it seems you want to change the name of an existing account in the chart of accounts. To do this, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Transactions and click Chart of Accounts.
  2. Choose the bank you want to edit and select the View Register dropdown.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Account name, enter the desired name you wish to have for that account.
  5. Once done, hit Save.
