Is there a way to give a user access to the underlying transactions from a custom P&L report?

Is there a way to give a user access to the underlying transactions from a custom P&L report?  I don't want the user to be able to edit the details.  I would like the user to be able to view the report and the transactions but not edit.

The option to assign a user role that allows viewing a custom Profit and Loss (P&L) report without the ability to edit transactions is currently unavailable, ktrainor.

On the other hand, you can explore using the View Company Reports user role as an alternative. This role enables a user to access all reports, except for payroll but restricts the ability to view the underlying transactions associated with these reports.
