Question

My client is asking for their invoices to be in excel format. I do not see that as an option. Currently It’s manual process. Is an export directly possible from QB

You can use the exporter tool.

It's great to see you in the Community today, asuied.

I can see how important it is for you to give your client invoices in Excel format. Let me share an alternative solution to help achieve your goal.

The ability to create invoices in the file format stated above is unavailable. However, you can open the Invoice List report and export it to Excel for your client to receive in their preferred file type.

Here's how:

  1. In your company, head to the Reports menu on the left panel and type Invoice List in the Search bar.
  2. On the report's page, click the Switch to classic view button.
  3. Press the Report period drop-down and select the correct date range.
  4. Tap the Customize button to tailor the data on the report.
  5. Select Run report to apply the changes.
  6. Click the Export icon and pick Export to Excel.

Here's a valuable resource that explains how to download and input data into your file or local hard drive: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.

In addition, to improve the appearance and information in your reports and sales forms, you can find a complete guide on how to carry out these tasks in the following links:
