QuickBooks Online 2026 “Run Actuals vs Budget Report” Budget column and % of Budget column not showing. I have worked through all of the troubleshooting steps written. I need to be able to run this report and for it to work correctly.

This usually happens when your report date range or filters don't match your budget setup. Since the report matches data strictly by account and date, mismatched filters cause budget columns to appear blank or show zero.

Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Go to Reports and open your Budget vs. Actuals report.
  2. Click Customize at the top right.
  3. Expand Budget, then select your budget from the drop-down menu.
  4. In the Report period section, set the dates to match your budget's fiscal year.
  5. In the Rows/Columns drop-down menu, review the Period Comparison section and check the box beside % of Budget.
  6. Click Run report.
