Question

When emailing a receipt as an attachment the qbodocs email. Why does it say all emailed receipts are created by one user regardless of which user emailed the receipt in?

Good Morning kschonodorf,

 

Thank you for connecting with the QuickBooks Community! I would love to share some information with you here. Regarding emailing receipts in QuickBooks Online, you can only register one email address per user for your company. To change the email address with your user account, follow these steps below:

 

  1. Select your profile icon next to Settings ⚙, then select Manage your Intuit Account.

  2. In the Intuit Account Manager, select Sign in & security.
  3. Select the User ID, Email address, Password, or Phone section.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. When you're done, select Save.

 

Then, in the Receipts tab, you can always select Manage forwarding email to manage, in which users can email receipts and bills. Please note the user must have standard permission to do so. 

 

From there, these would need to be sent to your custom email address @qbodocs.com, where Quickbooks pulls this info from the receipts. These included the dates, amounts, vendor, and last four digits of the credit card from the image.
