Why does QuickBooks Online keep asking me to verify my account even after I've already done it?

If you keep getting asked to verify an account you've already verified, a couple of things are usually behind it.

Make sure you're using the most recent verification email

Each time a new verification email goes out, clicking an older one from your inbox can trigger the request again. Search your inbox for the most recent verification email specifically, and use only that link.

Check for duplicate accounts

It's possible to end up with more than one account registered if a new one was accidentally created along the way. Make sure you're signing in with the exact credentials tied to the account you actually want to use, rather than a duplicate.

Rule out a browser issue

  1. Open QuickBooks Online in a private or incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N in Chrome, Ctrl+Shift+P in Firefox, Command+Shift+N in Safari).
  2. If verification goes through normally there, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies.
  3. If it's still looping after that, try a different supported browser.

@dustin-barnes93-  The answer is as unfortunate as it is straightforward; your mistake was using QuickBooks Online instead of Desktop.

I understand that's not helpful, but it is nonetheless true; Online is a dumpster fire.
